The Ontario Government is working with the ADTO to make the Panbio™ COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Tests available for dental professionals free of charge.

ADTO members can order their FREE COVID-19 antigen rapid tests through the ADTO landing page. RDT’s should familiarize themselves with the Ontario Government’s terms and conditions. Please read below for important program information.

All product and shipping costs are covered by the Ontario Government, while a processing fee is covered by the ADTO. To ensure sustainability of the supply, the number of antigen rapid tests that can be ordered per practice location will be limited. Due to an expected high volume of initial orders, processing and delivery times may be longer than what RDT’s are used to when ordering from your usual dental supplier. The ADTO is working with other oral-health partners to co-ordinate this offering to all regulated dental professionals. Access to these products through the ADTO landing page is made possible through partnership with the Ontario Dental Association (ODA).

Learn More About Testing Guidance

Antigen point-of-care testing (POCT) is an additional screening method that can help stop the spread of COVID-19 by identifying cases that may otherwise have been missed. It is important to note that it is not a diagnostic tool, and is appropriate for use in asymptomatic individuals only. At this time, the supplied test kits should be used for staff-screening only.
Organizations can test their staff on-site one to three times per week and get results in about 15 minutes.

The Ontario Government is working with associations to provide limited quantities of theses tests to dental professionals free of charge.
To find out if on-site testing is right for you:
    •    Review the Provincial Testing Guidance and training materials.
    •    Implement a COVID-19 workplace safety plan.
    •    Train people or hire a service provider to administer the tests.
    •    Review the Management of Individuals with Point-of-care Testing.
    •    Follow the RCDSO COVID-19 Guidance: Antigen POCT.
