Job Posting: Registered Dental Technologist / Dental Technician

This role supports gold and denture production, quality control, technician support, training, and communication with dentists as needed. The successful candidate will bring strong technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to guide day-to-day laboratory work.

Key Responsibilities
- Gold Technician duties: Wax, cast, and finish gold cases, including fittings and adjustments for digital alloy cases.
- Denture Technician duties: Complete setups, processing, and finishing of dentures.
- Perform denture repairs and relines.
- Fabricate splints and complete cast partial adjustments.
- Manage implant-related denture work, including housings, attachments, bars, and overdentures.
- Supervision and support: Serve as the primary point of contact for technician questions and provide day-to-day guidance in the laboratory.
- Quality control: Review invoices and inspect finished cases before shipping.
- Training: Train and support technicians in laboratory procedures and best practices.
- Communication: Communicate with dentists regarding cases when required.
- Follow laboratory safety, infection control, and material handling procedures as required for dental technologists and technicians in Canada.
Qualifications
- Registered Dental Technologist (RDT) designation or equivalent eligibility/experience as required.
- Strong experience in gold work, denture fabrication, repairs, relines, splints, cast partial adjustments, and implant-related denture cases.
- Ability to review completed work accurately and maintain high quality standards.
- Experience training or mentoring technicians in a laboratory environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise professionally with dentists and team members.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail.
This position is typically aligned with the standard full-time work week for dental technologists and technicians in Canada, generally 35 to 40 hours per week.
